About GroceryClip

GroceryClip exists for one reason: most coupon sites are garbage. They scrape stale codes, plaster the page in ads, and waste your time at checkout when the cashier has to override an expired barcode. We started GroceryClip in 2021 after a year of frustration with exactly that experience — and built the verification process we wished existed.

Our Three-Shopper Verification

Before any deal goes live on GroceryClip, three independent shoppers in three different cities have to redeem it successfully at the register. Only then does the offer earn its green "Verified" badge. The moment any one of them reports a failed scan, the deal is pulled within an hour — usually within minutes during business hours.

What We Cover

We track verified grocery savings at 50+ U.S. supermarket chains, including the national giants (Kroger, Safeway, Publix, Albertsons, Whole Foods), the discount disruptors (Aldi, Lidl, Grocery Outlet), the warehouse clubs (Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's), and dozens of beloved regional chains (H-E-B in Texas, Wegmans in the Northeast, Hy-Vee in the Midwest, Stater Bros in Southern California, and many more).

For each store we monitor four feeds: the official weekly circular, the in-app digital coupon dashboard, manufacturer printable coupons that work at that retailer, and crowd-sourced submissions from our shopper community. Everything that passes verification lands on the store's GroceryClip page within hours.

How We Make Money

GroceryClip is free for shoppers, forever. We're supported by display advertising, affiliate commissions on cashback apps and rewards-card recommendations, and partnerships with grocery delivery and meal-kit services that we genuinely use. We never accept payment to feature a "deal" or to skip a failed verification — those would defeat the entire purpose of the site.

Meet the Team

GroceryClip is run by a small team of obsessive grocery shoppers, former retail-pricing analysts, and one ex-cashier who got tired of explaining to customers why their printout wouldn't scan. We're based in Austin, with verification shoppers spread across 14 metro areas.
